I have to, first of all, say that I was VERY pleased with the turnout at Boo Ha-Ha!  We all had a great time and thanks to everyone who attended and especially to all of the volunteers and workers that made it a success!

Now..... Halloween night...

I was so disappointed!  Remember back in the day when we were kids and we wandered the neighborhood and practically every house had the lights on and we raked up on candy??  No more apparently!

I have to say that the range and tone the politics as-of-late has taken on, has left an un-savory taste in my mouth!  I find myself doubting what either presidential candidate can accomplish and it has truly become, as one listener recently said, more a case of who I'm voting against more so than who I'm voting for.

That is such a sad statement, but it's true.

Yeah, yeah... I know, I know. 

I really need to get on the ball and get going with this blog.  I have a ton of thoughts on the issues of family, politics and local happenings... I'm just not used to putting them down on paper, or, in this case on the web.

Yes, it's been awhile since I've posted anything.  I still have to get myself in the habit of doing this on a daily basis, even if it's only to post a few words.

So here goes...

I am loving this cooler, rainy Wednesday!  It's a nice little reprive from the hot that we've had and you know the ground is thirsty!  So here's to the big man upstairs for shining down on us with a cooler, rainy day!

In light of the attempted kidnapping of a 9 year-old on Wednesday from the College Park Baptist parking lot...

I have to say that my wife and I always try to keep a close eye on our kids to ensure their safety, but it is, unfortunately becoming more apparent that we have to be more careful than ever before in this day and age.

As I sit here in the WRHI control room, I'm waiting on Jerry to finish up his weather prognosticatin'.  I've been thinking a lot about some of the crime we've been seeing... not just locally but nationwide.

Barring any talk of our move to downtown Rock Hill, which we really are enjoying... once again, how does one family accumulate so much stuff?
